Study Population
Dehydrated children
Criteria

Inclusion Criteria:

  • 1 mo - 15 yo children with DEHYDRATION from vomiting, diarrhea, or poor oral intake from presumed gastroenteritis
  • Previously healthy

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Preexisting cardiac, renal, or gastrointestinal disease
  • diabetes
  • failure to thrive
