Inclusion Criteria:

  • Newly detected type 2 diabetes
  • Fasting plasma glucose >126mg/dl
  • HbA1c > 7%

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Serious comorbid illnesss
  • History of drug abuse
  • History of recent weight loss
